Inbox default folder has been renamed to "image001.gif"
I have an Exchange 2007 mailbox, who's "Inbox" default folder is now called "image001.gif". It shows this in OWA and any client I connect to the mailbox with. There doesn't seem to be anywhere in powerhsell to set this. Has anyone seen this before? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. All the other mailboxes seem OK. Many thanks, Gareth

Hi Gareth It's likely that the mailbox user has set the home page to point to the gif by accident. Right-click the Inbox and select Properties and then Home Page and see if there is a pointer to the gif there. Alexei

Thanks Alexi, Unfortunately there is no homepage set - the inbox still functions normally as well, just the title has changed.

Have you tried resetting the folder name using the following? Outlook.exe /resetfoldernames http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/command-line-switches-for-microsoft-office-outlook-2007-HP001218589.aspx Alexei

HI Alexei, Thanks so much - that one worked. Can't believe it was that simple... Cheers! Gareth
